渡辺 剛　Takeshi Watanabe

栃木県宇都宮市生まれ。
20歳の頃からキーボーディストとして活動を始め、現在に至るまで数々のサポート、レコーディング、セッションを重ねる。

2004年にTVアニメ「この醜くも美しい世界」の背景音楽、テーマ曲などを手がけ好評を得たことをきっかけに、
以後数多くのアニメーション音楽を担当する。
代表作に「苺ましまろ」シリーズ、「ToLOVEる-とらぶる-」シリーズ、「咲-Saki-」シリーズ、
近年では「裏世界ピクニック」、「死神坊ちゃんと黒メイド」、「異世界美少女受肉おじさんと」等。

得意とする打ち込みからオーケストレーションまで、ジャンルにとらわれず「自分のより良い音を求めて！」を
モットーに、制作、演奏、プロデュースと幅広く活動している。

またソロプロジェクト「VOTOM」名義で自己の音楽も制作している。

 

Born in Utsunomiya, Tochigi pref., Japan, Takeshi Watanabe started his career as a professional keyboard player at his age of 20, since then he has performed in numerous stages and recordings.

Takeshi emerged as a composer in 2004 when he composed the theme tune and soundtrack of TV animation This Ugly Yet Beautiful Worldor “Kono Minikukumo Utsukushii Sekai.” Since then, he has scored more than 100 animation productions, including Strawberry Marshmallow, To LOVE-Ru, Saki, and recent works such as Otherside Picnic or “Urasekai Picnic,” The Duke of Death and His Maid or “Shinigami Botchanto Kuro Maid,” and Life with an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated into a Total Fantasy Knockout or “Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisanto.”

With his motto “always seeking better sound,” Takeshi is flexible in style, creating from programming-oriented music, at which he excels, to classical/orchestral staff. His areas of activity include not only recording but live performance and producer work, as well as his alias VOTOM, which develops his own idea.
